Investing felt like it was built for someone else.
In most emerging markets, the tools that exist for growing wealth assume you already know how investing works. The language is technical, the onboarding is long, and every screen feels like a barrier rather than a guide. People who genuinely want to build a financial future have no clear starting point. Astravest existed to close that gap, to make the first step feel as simple and natural as sending money to a friend.
Design the confidence, not just the interface.
The core insight from user research was that people did not distrust investing, they distrusted themselves. They were afraid of making the wrong move. So instead of simplifying the UI alone, we focused on building confidence at every step. Plain-language explanations for every action, a guided onboarding that felt like a conversation, and a dashboard that surfaced progress over complexity. Every decision was tested against one question: does this make the user feel capable? By the end, 88% of users completed onboarding without dropping off, portfolio setup was 3.2 times faster than competing apps.
